The Katana was the faithful sword of the samurai forged with an ancient technique and tempered in the blood of a thousand battles to defend the honor of those who wore it at their side. It was worn on the belt (obi) with the edge facing upwards, so that it could be quickly drawn with skillful movements and that the edge of the blade could in no way be damaged.
The weapon was usually carried by members of the warrior class, along with the wakizashi, a second, shorter saber. Carrying a Katana was a symbol of power and respect for Samurai throughout Japan.
