Mimiker contains important nutritional factors that are involved in the regulation of glucose metabolism.

It comes in gastro-protected tablets, since lipoic acid would hardly pass through the stomach. Alpha-lipoic acid is an essential enzymatic cofactor present in tissues, where it acts as an antioxidant factor in both the oxidized and reduced forms. It intervenes in the synthesis of glutathione, guarantees the functionality of vitamin E, intervenes at the level of a fundamental enzyme for energy production, pyruvic decarboxylase, which catalyzes the transition from glycolysis to the Krebs cycle, promoting energy availability.

Its antioxidant activity is expressed in the protection of the nerve fiber, which is why it is used in the therapy of various neuropathies: carpal tunnel, diabetic, retinal. Together with chromium picolinate it is involved in the regulation of blood sugar by influencing a plasma factor, the GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor), which regulates and promotes the activity of the hormone insulin. Lipoic acid is considered an “insulin-like” factor because it improves insulin sensitivity in muscle tissue rather than adipose tissue.

Mimiker can therefore be used in case of insulin resistance. Through this property it would facilitate glycogen storage, protein synthesis and greater use of fats for energy purposes. Several studies also on humans confirm its potential in reducing body fat deposits.

In athletes it is used to promote muscle recovery, combining it with simple sugars and creatine after exercise.

For this reason, in many experimental studies, alpha-lipoic acid and chromium have found use as natural hypoglycemics.

The Lagerstroemia Speciosa (Banaba) extract, to which several scientific studies attribute significant hypoglycemic properties, is able to inhibit the differentiation of adipose cells, promoting the reduction of body fat deposits.

Mimiker is indicated to improve blood sugar regulation, as a protective factor in some specific peripheral neuritis, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and sciatica; it can be used favorably in athletes, to promote muscle recovery after exercise.

Take 1 tablet, per day, before meals. Due to its usefulness in sports, it can also be taken after exercise together with carbohydrates and proteins.
